Scouting is non-political, non sectarian, non-communal and not connected with any one religion. Its aims are formation of character, formation of sound health habits, training in handicrafts and useful skills, cultivation of spirit of service and inculcation of reverence of God. It fosters discipline and develops leadership qualities.

To develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service, among the youth to make them useful citizens. To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth available for service of the Nation.
